Greetings!

Still no artist/track info in ogg streams.. Is there any chance to add this data?

ohhh, but i think bill will make it better than before. i looked on this page about this and now i see a 192ogg stream is available. rp rulezzz

Oh well....not too hard to keep an extra tab open to the RadioParadise site for the "Now Playing" info.

You can also use the "mini playlist" on their home page

The stream sounds great on my Squeezebox 2 but song titles aren't showing. Sounds richer and smoother than the 192k MP3, but MP3s have always sounded metallic to me. Bill, I'm glad to have this stream choice.

Foobar supports Ogg natively so it shouldn't be a problem. Winamp will play it also.

I'm listening to the OGG 192 on my MacBook Pro, using FStream. I have a 7 Mps connection, currently running at 5.43 Mps. All I can say is that the music sounds... smoother. I really like it!

Fantastic! It works nicely!

Now I will put on my todo list a task to suggest adding RP to a bunch of open-source players, including Nokia's N900 device.

Can you give the stream an extension of .ogg like http://stream-sd.radioparadise.com:9000/rp_96.ogg. That should help old players detect the stream format, maybe fix the Winamp issue mentioned above as well.

The stream doesn't seem to work in recent version of WinAMP for me. VLC plays them fine.

Works fine on a 1st gen Intel Mac Mini with VLC 1.1.5

Not sure if I want to hear Hank Williams with that much clarity though ;-)
