Currently there's a 50% chance of severe t storms but because it's cooler out than yesterday they should not produce tornadoes

Sure hope the storms aren't as intense, you guys have been pummeled enough. Glad to hear the OK peeps and their loved ones are ok.

Yes, it is storming here now.  I heard chainsaws and looked out front to see a tree down across the street.  Guys are cutting it up in the rain.

growing up in alabama (remember tuscaloosa) i saw quite a few tornadoes as well

moving to miami and getting my teeth kicked in by andrew was quite the experience too

the aftermath is always mind numbing

the cars tossed around like toys, homes reduced to rubble and seeing people who have lost everything

very, very difficult

the upside is that you see some awesome people pulling together to help out and i have faith in that

peace

Photo: This is a map I found of the track of the tornado. The GREEN is the May 20th tornado. I superimposed Mom's location and then put an X near where sister Carol lives. Mom's place didn't have damage, but it sure was close!
Green shows path of storm.  Mom was right on the edge.  No wonder she said she heard a roar.

Today's tornadoes in Oklahoma are some of the worst our country has seen and our hearts go out to the victims. Fortunately, in this circumstance, everything has fallen into place for the participants of Bountiful Baskets to share more than just our hearts.

One of our awesome produce venders is offering a truck, driver, and fuel to transport low-preparation food items such as fresh fruit, granola bars, bread, and water to the areas of OK that are hardest hit. We are SO EXCITED to open up the opportunity to participate in this good cause to ALL of our participants and their friends and family.

There are two ways to help:
    1) Contribute for a basket at the site of your choice (ie. your regular site NOT a site within the disaster areas). Choose the Help Oklahoma add-on and add your donations in $3 increments. 100% of this donation will go to provide food for Oklahoma tornado victims.
    2) Donate without contributing by sending any amount of money via Paypal
    to DisasterRelief@BountifulBaskets.org

Bountiful Baskets is a food co-op, not a charity. You order a basket (sight unseen) on Monday, and on Saturday you go meet the truck and get a big pile of fruits and veggies. We order from them sometimes. They distribute to OKC, though, so the food will probably go out from their usual locations in the area, I'm sure it hasn't been worked out just yet, but it'll be good stuff. Their granola isn't junk food, the bread is fantastic and of course fruits & veggies, that'll really be a good truck.

OK-I'll go with them. Some of the other donation sites have overhead for salaries, random expenses, graft, etc.
