Oh my gosh yes, apparently German whites can be some of the finest wines in the world and I really need to explore them. So many wines, so little time....

It was pretty popular wine in those days - a lot of times, they would do live ads during the broadcasts - it is awful wine, though. I've had quite a few, very good German wines - that is not one of them.

Just so long as they didn't get paid in kind - that wine was (is - I still have one customer who drinks it) appalling stuff.

That seems like it would be the official Festivus wine. Stiller and Meara used to have a radio show in NY (as did Bob & Ray) when I was a kid: funny stuff.
