Mt Vesuvius

Take two large scoops of a select French Vanilla ice cream. Put into a blender. Add two shots of Sambuca Romana and 1 oz. of simple sugar syrup. (optional: instead of sugar syrup just add one oz. water or milk.) Blend Well.

Put this into the bottom of a liter beer stein. Add 1/3 liter of Coca-Cola, stir and stand back as the foam will fill the whole glass.

Enjoy.

A friend recomends mixing ice cream with spirits...rum I think, but I can't remember. Also a coke floater is nice (coke + ice cream scoop).

Marble Slab Sweet Cream with dark chocolate chips. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to ice cream and this rich but simple piece of ice cream nirvana does the trick.

I'm a sucker for an icecream shake made with 1/2 and 1/2 and pickled ginger. Ya gotta use one of those high-speed blenders and really whip it up good...

Topped with whipped cream.

Jamocha Almond Fudge I would lay down my life for...but I'm definitely going to hunt for that vanilla chai from Stoneyfield Farms, its gotta come from California cows with a name like that

Bonnie Brae Ice Cream " target="_blank"> in Denver got me hooked on Mexican chocolate ice cream. It's lightly chocolaty with cinnamon in it. Absolutely wonderful.

Side story: Many years ago when I lived there, there was a big snow storm in January. The power in the area went out, and they had lost their refrigeration and the ice cream was melting. So they put out an announcement on the radio: Free Ice Cream! They said they would rather give it away than just see it melt. So bunch of friends went down to the ice cream store in the middle of a blizzard, the place was so packed we had to stand outside in the snow and eat our ice cream. It was still a bunch of fun. If you are in the area go to the Saucy Noodle too.
