I feel like this about some songs on the review-channel and then vote Thumbs up.
I might not really like that song, let alone buy it, but think it would be a good contribution to have a large fresh variety and surprising sounds.
A channel only playing my favourite music-taste would be kinda boring after a while. Hey, I even dig those occasional cartoonish Dolly Parton or Bette Middler on RP - as long as it is played rarely. ;-) |

Of course, I'm left to wonder why it is playing over here. It's been in the playlist for a long time.

The trouble with country as a "genre" is that it's boundaries are so blurred. Whatever is the current Nashville commodity is usually quite objectionable to me; however country and folk are intertwined in places where some great songwriters live. Classic example: John Prine. |

I like quite a bit from Cash - especially his live prison albums. (And I am always grateful when Bill occasionally throws in a song as country almost never gets played over here)

Nice to see some support for Ben Christophers - The Hooded Kiss - uploaded that back in November, and my upload success rate is pretty miserable so far! Might improve my stats if it makes it to the hallowed playlist! |
