I've also had this song awaiting Radio Paradise's decision for quite some time; by Blue Monkey (a.k.a. Mavi Maymun), which is our band. I've finally come across it, listed in the LRC, let's see if it actually makes the 'cut' :). The song has won 2nd place in the international RODE ROCKS competition by Rode Microphones from Australia. Please check out our video as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tE4hE3ytzig The album is being recorded and hopefully will be released by March. Cheers!

I confess that since the PSD function arrived I haven't been listening to the LRC very much but I do from time to time go to the page just to see what's in the rotation. I know there have been a number of times when two uploads of the same song are in competition with each other but I don't think I've ever seen them get played back to back before. Those of you who still harbor some notion that the ratings do or should have some bearing on the final outcome should check out the discrepancy in the two versions.
Is there a policy for how many total votes a songs need to get to then be handed back to Bill & Rebecca for a final decision? There are quite a few that have 60-80 votes and it seems like there is quite a backlog.
I recently uploaded a song, and I feel obligated to listen and vote, and the same songs keep coming around.

there is no policy and voting is for our amusement only. Rebecca will get to it eventually. it all tends to sit for a while and she comes in and clears it all out in a short time.

A week or two ago when I glanced at my Mayan calendar I noticed that the world was ending next month and knowing how much Bill likes to keep the play list topical I thought I would upload a few old end times classics from my youth. While none of them have been added as yet they have not been immediately rejected either which for me is a very positive response. Further in the interim I have noticed the following titles currently on the LRC: End of the World, Comets, East Of Asteroid, The Bomb Was Brighter Than The Stars, Room @ the End of the World, Every River Will Burn, End Of Days. I just thought I would mention this in case anyone else could think of some other appropriate music for the end of times it might be a good time to upload it.
Firewater's "Feels Like The End of the World" from their 2008 The Golden Hour would be ideal, but I don't have a high-bitrate copy available. I'd have to find it in my stored CDs and re-rip it. RP really doesn't have enough Firewater.

To the listener who added Archive's "Bullets" to the chanell: Thanks to you I am discovering this amazing band. What a shame I did not know them before. The entire album "Controlling Crowds" is my personal album of the year, even though it's from 2009. I'm absolutely stunned by this band, thank you so very much!
