If the playlist were governed by LRC votes RP would become a Top 40 station, just like the terrestrial radio we left behind.
RP's playlist is governed by the unique tastes of the hosts. That's what brought you here in the first place, right? You're just going to have to trust them and seek affirmation elsewhere. You still have your uploads, you can listen to them any time.
I don't know of another station, terrestrial or online, that lets its listeners upload music at all, let alone vote on it. Uploads are suggestions and Bill & Rebbecca take them or leave them. If it didn't get insta-sorried you at least got to share them with the weirdos who listen to the LRC.

Yes it's meaningless. What makes it onto the main library cannot be a democracy, though, or RP would be terrible. The voting is just a way for other listeners to give some feedback to the uploader.
