{#Lol}  If she can find a good small business that will supply support,I'd go that way.

Then again,until I had to start doing my parents laundry,I'd just put as much of my stuff of mixed colors in there as would fit.

Unfortunately,skid marks require bleach and I was cruelly forced to separate their whites.{#Lol}

My Mom just got  a set on Thursday.  She settled for GE, floor models from Home Depot.  Emphasis on settle.  We both had GE's before and swore them off, but ...  Top loading washer.  About $850 out the door for the pair.  She went to the library and researched ratings, etc.  LG and Samsung were the tops, but so damn expensive.  The GE's weren't rated that high, but at 86 you're just hoping for 5 years.

No more Maytag for her or us.  Her washer was a Maytag and she said never again.  We got a Maytag washer about 6 years ago and the motor and timer went at about 4.  Turns out it was an Amana model that Maytag rebranded when they bought Amana our repair guy told us.  Still don't like the front loading washers.  Still too many bugs, mainly with having to keep the door open at all times when not using to prevent mold.  Our repair guy confirmed that as well.

Talk to repair people if possible and find out what they say.  That would be your best shot.  Good luck !
.
Oh and do get the extended service plan on the washer.  Don't worry about the dryer.  The cost of the service plan is a good indicator of future reliablility.

I'm still using the super capacity Cesspool Whirlpool Washer & Dryer I bought at Circus City back in '93. In 20 years the dryer needed a belt once and the washer needed a transmission coupling (replaced myself for $25). So I can't complain and Stinky approves of the dryer.

Hey I'm seeing a lot of neon clothing again, so maybe it's time for a comeback?

Last week was the 31st anniversary of the release of Duran Duran's Rio... I'm thinking about picking up a nice red suit...

The company I work for just hired a new part time employee. His retail experience is about the same as mine was when I was hired, but it didn't take much prodding to find out that he was hired in a awhole $1 more than I make, even though he has absolutely no luggage experience. This doesn't surprise me because they are totally the kind of company that would pay a man more than a woman. According to law, this is against the law.

How do I approach the owner and successfully get him to increase  my salary, without revealing what I know? Always something with this place {#Rolleyes}

You can ask for a raise. Point out how long you've been there, what you've accomplished, how dedicated you are. And then hope for the best.
