Please add my dear friend, Sandi, to your thoughts and prayers. She is 65 and just got hit with a motherlode. Her retirement planned for 18 months from now got bumped up to January '08 against her will (she had to involve an attorney and couldn't use her regular one because he also reps her employer). And she just found out her boyfriend of 10 1/2 years, who she had made all of her financial and retirement plans around has been cheating on her since St. Patrick's Day. And as an added source of heartache, both of her children suffer from two different illnesses that no doctor can diagnose... her son for almost ten years now and her daughter for the last two. It doesn't sound like much compared to some of the other stuff ya'll have going on, but for her, its like her world is coming to an end.

My mom just told me that, after a string of doctor referrals to unearth the cause of a year-long chronic pain in her hip, she saw an oncologist who ran a test for multiple myloma and lymphoma.

Her results were extremely abnormal.

She had the test again today, but won't have the results for another few days.

Please pray for my mother. I'm not ready to lose her.

Oh Dear Agnes,

I all too well, know what you are going through. The good news is, with all the new procedures and treatments they have these days, even if you hear something you don't want to hear (and I'm sending STRONG positive thoughts your way), I'm thinking she's gonna be just fine. But, we aren't thinking this way unless we need too....IF. Just know, I'm here if you need me.
