For the many, wonderful memories brought up at the memorial service earlier. Memories of the deceased, my parents, myself, my brother. The lovely church of my youth. Old friends. And peace at the end, NBJ.

Hope you had and are still having a wonderful birthday. {#Cheers}

I understand. My mother did similar for me (live theater and libraries).  Art museums are "Cathedrals to humanity and beauty".
Thanks to our mothers.

That's the key. Talent, optimism, and ambition go a long way towards getting yourself in a situation that you're enjoying.
Best of luck!

Welcome to 2018... Now 2017 is just a story to tell.

It was predicted that 2017 would be a horrible year for me and frankly, it pretty much sucked.   I left my job of 37 years due to the stress level and years of abuse by a narcissistic absentee owner.   I didn't want to leave but it was me or it and I chose me.   I lost over $70k/year in pay and will probably lose my house but hey, sometimes a girls gotta make touch choices.  She takes a deep breath and walks boldly into the unknown, taking a chance with her warrior spirit and big brass balls.   Fuck that damn job.

The county was kind enough to send me to college for a year so now I'm a 60 year old first time college student in a community college full of 20 year olds and professors who are too juvenile themselves or too lazy to give a shit.  BUT.. I am SO grateful for this opportunity to reinvent myself.  I chose the Graphic Design courses because this girl is smart, talented, and can make money for herself from anywhere in the world and at any age.  Hopefully.. lol...

Gratitude is the key to happiness...   that's my mantra.

I have an abundance of love in my life, both giving and receiving.
I have a warm home, two barking doggies, and a lazy husband whose hugs make my troubles melt away.
I have both my parents though their health is failing.   Most of my friends have already lost their parents.
I have pretty good health despite my overweight state of being, and I'm learning that weight won't protect me from abuse.
I have a few bucks in the bank but those are dwindling fast.   Still, I have a little money and stuff I can sell.
I have music, my first love and probably my last.   If only I'd lost those 20 pounds when I was 17, I could have joined the Air Force Band like I wanted but then....
I wouldn't be me, and I'm kinda cool just as I am.
I have faith, and hope, though our Liar in Chief has tried to steal that from me.   No way Jose'....   I'm a person of the light and you, not so much.

Thank you for letting me share.   Goodbye 2017.   You got a lot of tears from me this year but 2018 is bright and shiny like a new dime, and Scotland's only a 5 hour flight.

Peace and Love to all who read this...

Be kind to each other please.

Cross country ski clothes, even when there's no snow. I'm grateful Weezie will wear her "coat" (and seems to be growing an undercoat of her own!). And I'm grateful the birds like the heated birdbath.
