Someone from my second grade class just posted our class picture from a yearbook and tagged a friend of a friend—and then tagged me.

Holy crap! Mrs. Jetter's class, 1974-75.

Humans of New York is often uplifting, but rarely laugh out loud funny...

“It’s my friend’s bridal shower tonight. I bought this piñata and I’m going to fill it with fireworks, chocolate, differently textured condoms—some of which look terrifying, edible underwear, picnic items, shots, calming tea, rock candies, sparklers, and macaroons.”

In the comments:
  • Trust me, the fireworks are a bad idea. I put boxes of Snaps in my son's pinata, and when the first kid whapped it, the donkey's ass blew off.
  • I did this for a friend's shower and left the pinata in the car for a few hours. In July. In Arkansas. Needless to say, we had chocolate covered condoms.

I'm sure they were trying to get the Democrats to say that it doesn't matter where he was born anyway because then they could reply, "Aha! Now you are changing your story and he must have been born in Kenya!"

If it was never about where he was born, why did they demand the release of the birth certificate?

This morning, listening to Patriot Radio on XM, someone called in ranting about Obama and his wish to nuke Charleston, and its ties to Syria, and how he'd "fired all the generals."

The hosts took it in stride and went on a brilliant rant about

"Well if Obama were successful with his plan to nuke Charleston, what would be the first thing we all think?"
"Syria!"
"Right. It's so obvious that he realized he'd be found out. - Do you remember about all those dead dolphins in the water there? And do you remember Flipper? (they all start singing what they remember of the Flipper theme) Well, Flipper wasn't born in US waters, but somewhere else. Fortunately, his mother was an American dolphin. Anyway, he was gathering undersea intelligence for the CIA and it was getting dicey. So Obama wanted him dead."
"And that's why he nuked the water instead of Charleston itself! But why didn't the other fish die?"
"The dolphins are more susceptible to radiation. But after doing that, the generals that knew about the plan had to be fired."
"But, if Obama was willing to kill those dolphins.."
"Why didn't he just kill the generals?"
"Yeah"
"Well, then you've got a real HR problem."

at this point I was literally laughing out loud while stuck in traffic.

"The end result would be...hang on...(talking off mic)...what? I'm sorry. OK. (back to mic) I just got a phone call from our Zionist Overlords who told me that I've said too much. Let's go to a commercial. Is your home siding looking worn..."

Best. Morning show. Ever.

What I find particularly annoying though is that the (probably correct) reasoning that Ted was born American, although born out of the country, because his mother was American would also hold true for Obama if he had been born in Kenya. Effin hypocrites.

It's SOP that whatever charges the GOP level, it's an intentional tactic to distract from their own issues. If they accuse someone of being born out of the country, check their own roster (McCain, Cruz). This is true in a majority of their accusations, to the point that it's an obvious maneuver that I now simply find Orwellian, obstructionist, and tiresome. It's why they have no credible, respected leader: the party merely is an animal backed into a corner, swinging wildly at every supposed threat that it sees.

This does not make me laugh. I love and appreciate America, and have no affection for those that use their own greed or ignorance or fear to oppose moving forward.
Progress is patriotic.

Add the grimace that folks will certainly take him to task for being born outside the US - for no other reason than payback for that idiocy about Obama's birthplace.
It will waste all our time, and generate a lot of drama. Sound and fury signifying nothing.

His speech had mandated attendance, although it's supposedly his base. And he spoke to no other 'Mericans except those who are hyper conservative (about 38% of the nation, frighteningly). There's no way to win an election with that little popular support (unless the Supreme Court steps in again).
