Good dog Sid! (my way of encouraging dogs as they move on - Good Dog is the only thing they really need to hear from people)
A friend related what they were told by someone about pets, " There is only one really bad day when you have a pet and that's a pretty fair trade." |

Thank you..... I feel like he's been with me my whole life. It was the same with Bosque....she was 17 when I had to put her down a couple years ago. I said after Sid was gone I'd never get another one....but I'm glad I talked myself in to getting Boss. He'll help me. I couldn't ever imagine not having a dog in my life. And thanks y'all. I had Tessy (the cat) for 16 years. After I got divorced she was my sole companion. When she started to get sick my family really wanted me to get another cat to help with the grief when Tessy eventually died, They were really worried about me. I didn't get another pet and after I had to take Tess to the vet for the final time I didn't take care of myself physically or emotionally. I ended up being institutionalized for a pretty bad breakdown. So take good care of yourself and don't try to avoid grieving. It just ends up hurting more in the long run.
