WARNING - SAD STORY FOLLOWS

Took care of a kid one time about 8 yrs old, brought in by distant disaffected Dad. "He thinks he hurt his neck. He was in a car accident."
Upshot: nothing scary, probably a pulled muscle.
What happened?
"He and his mom were hit head on by a truck driver that fell asleep. Flipped their car, killed his mom. They hung there suspended upside down about a half an hour until the ambulance got there."
OMG
"Yeah, and he keeps following me around. Gets upset when I leave the room. Really annoying..."

Took me a few minutes to gently tell him he was an insensitive idiot and horrible parent, but he might have gotten the message.

There is only one man in the world who has spent quality time with both Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un. The fate of the planet is in the hands of Dennis Rodman. Dennis fkn Rodman.

I thought of how the autumn makes me feel melancholic but somehow in a positive way, it’s as all of the sudden I have been longed-for my childhood friends and neighbors, those neighborhood gatherings and long night city walks, stories told at those long dinner types family get-togethers, I don’t know if it is autumn colours…

Optimism is an expectation, a confident nature.
Hope is a plea or a prayer.

I know this can't be original, but am not sure where I encountered it.  Google didn't help.

That our best chance of finding some travel methods faster than the speed of light (leaping, folding, crenulating, extenuating, dimension beaming) is from another civilization that visits us, and offers it to us, peacefully.

Yes, the 10¢ Nips were made with a higher quality wax; I believe the wax was imported from Europe - plus it was an 8-pack!

I always preferred Screaming Yellow Zonkers, because the box was so much fun to read, kind of like an album cover for some obscure psychedelic rock band.
