Yeah, that makes sense....and why undergo another surgery if you don't have to?

My former breasts are still "there" sometimes....they were a big part of me (I wore a D cup), and it's weird.  I get itches and twinges of pain where there is no longer any flesh.  The incision areas are, and always will be, numb.  It's bizarre.

Yep, after my lung cancer surgery and they cut my ribs and thousands of nerves that run by them it was amazing the weird stuff I felt while it was healing. Had lots of dead spots on my skin with no feeling and another area that always felt like it had tape stuck to it. It never did come back 100% and I still have random phantom pain in my right side.

That stuff you've heard about "phantom" feelings in places where amputated body parts used to be....it's true.

have you tried meditation?

i'm still a bit clumsy at exploring the mind/body connection, but i'm getting better

it is a practice...

for me? it is like taking out the mental garbage

clearing, cleaning and scrubbing my headspace

so i can focus on my next task with clarity, transitioning from work to my personal relationships, or just relaxation and preparation for sleep

thoughts can be powerful
