Baking a little baguette to have with some salami and brie cheese. Maybe some Noingoato to go with if the soup dried up.

Yeah, there's a difference between "I can't seem to get on the internet" and "I have about 5 different antivirus antimalware apps running at the same time, have already downloaded some other stuff to try to get this mess all cleaned up but here."

I'm closing it up and giving it back.

My first house was a 1957 raunch house in Mesa AZ. It was a poured concrete house so all the walls were solid concrete also. All the wiring and plumbing was in the concrete. And it was galvanized so the alkaline in the concrete ate through the pipes. I had to run all new copper through the attic. And all the kitchen and bathroom tile had been set into the wet concrete so it all had to be broken off. Even the kitchen island was poured concrete with tile set in and veneered bender board glued to it. Damn, I hated that house!

This is from when I did the plumbing a few years back:

The galvanized was original, and pretty much occluded. There was a bit of copper from intermediate repairs, but I pulled everything and went with PEX. Couldn't be happier.  Unfortunately there are still stubs up in places that I don't want walls anymore, and it limits what you can do with it - no polished concrete.

I know there are always compromises, but some of this stuff was just like "eh, what the hell, do it the worse way". I also have a 'skinny wall' in the laundry that was built with the 2x4s turned sideways so the wall is 2 inches narrower than normal. This isn't really a big deal except that now you cant do anything electrical on that wall...  This one might get fixed just so no one blames me for it later.

They probably figured that instead of using rebar to make the slab stronger, they could just stick some pipe and wiring in there to achieve the same results.
