Yup. It's good to have my webcam again. I brought it back with me....I've only ever used Skype on it. But my sister told me she uses Facetime from her iPad touch mp3 player and I should download it. She's not Apple-savvy I don't think.

My friend now want to bring their laptop into our pub (back in Ohio) and have a virtual happy hour with me!

The Facetime app comes standard on modern Apple computers, but it's not available for a windows machine.

I think we have a 1st gen, not sure right now, but it's not compatible with the latest iOS so can no longer use "Find my iPhone" ... I hope your sync problem isn't part of that and maybe I can't sync either. We'll find out, I guess.

I can't sync or delete apps on my 2nd generation iTouch.
Anyone ever have that?

I don't have the latest, I have the iPhone4. but I highly recommend it. especially since you're already set up for apple products.
the new iphone will be out this fall. try to wait. you'll get the older iphones really cheap or free.

I have no experience with other smart phones.

My phone is a few yrs old and really slow, and I want one that takes decent pics and plays my music, so I can have a camera and replace my ipod.

If you have the latest iphone, would you please share whether or not you like these functions on your phone? Is there another phone you would recommend?

We use that all the time. Google Maps, etc.

Accidental and probably useless (but hey you never know) discovery: if you push the Home button whilst holding down the Sleep button, you'll hear the camera noise. In fact, you'll find you've just taken a screen shot. It's right there in your camera roll. Weird. Possibly useful.

I was having the same problem trying to set up Mail on my sister's new iPhone 4s and her Comcast email account. I even called Comcast. The solution turned out to be changing the Comcast password to a new one. Of course, you'll have to update/remember the new password for your email program at your desktop computer.

Try turning off your wifi to see if it will work via your data plan. Unless of course you've already tried this.
