Hah! Big club there. I think he referred to me as greedy silicon valley scum in our last communication :-)

I was sort of smug that I hadn't had a run-in with him yet, but now I can't remember what he was spouting about. I normally let him go because he talks way over my head most of the time anyway. I'm sort of curious about what he has to say about the current round of Net Neutrality hoopla.

I wish I still had a copy of the CVB contract from ca. 1986. It would be a green M&Ms only sort of Smoking Gun favorite. They wanted vegetarian meals, so I dunno what-all they had except we grilled some veggie/fruit skewers, and did half of them with shrimp on them. They were plainly set apart but David wasn't listening, picked up a shrimp one and shouted IS THERE MEAT IN THIS? and the cook said "that platter has shrimp, the others don't." And 3 of the band lit up like kids at Christmas and dove for the MEAT. They were so happy someone ignored the rules. I wonder if David's ever played San Luis Obispo since then. He wasn't very happy with us.

Good for you! It's not that grown-ups don't go to concerts. It's that they no longer drink too much and get kicked out of IHOP after the show.

I bought my Cracker tix. I couldn't resist when I found out that it is an acoustic show, and they are doing all the Camper Van tunes first. How in hell can I miss that?

I agree, Cracker is fantastic. I've seen them 6-7 times. And missing the Camper Van show in college remains one of my biggest mistakes... but that is not the issue here. The issue is whether I grow up or not, and what the definition of that is for me.

Stop whining, go to the show, put the beer down, then go to work tomorrow.

Hell yes go!!!

But like Jrzy suggested, I would make as many of my morning preparations in advance as I could. And also keep your head about you when it comes to the alcoholic beverages.

The Good: Cracker/Camper Van B are playing tonight at the Windjammer on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina. This is a beach bar, and they are playing outside. I can get 2 tickets. It is within cheap cab fare of my house. And my wife and kids are in Ohio visiting Grandma.

The Bad: I have a presentation at work to give at 8am sharp tomorrow. My job does not depend on this presentation, within reason, of course. If I sleep through it or puke in the middle, folks may frown, however.
