Yep.They waited until the sun came out and showed up after lunch when I was finally asleep.Perfect timing with them letting the pollen dry out enough to turn the place into a dustbowl.You could see the stuff 20-30 feet high in the air while they were doing their thing.

Friggin' Obama pollen.

Oh well.I'm so beat I probably would have slept through tonights games if they hadn't tormented me so.Plus it's good that I woke up and got Pops dinner ready,I have to feed him once a week or he gets cranky.

I'm exhausted after another bad night for Pops,can't sleep and I know 5 minutes after I wind down enough for my 3 hour window to crash the landscapers will show up and wake me up.

My husband has diabetes, too. He gets his suppplies in the mail. They are free thanks to Medicare. I know they send new meters, it seems like about twice per year. He doesn't have to take insulin, just a pill a day.

Too much starch for lunch followed by the strudel.Taters are a ticking starch bomb for diabetics.I'm gonna give him a fingerstick at 7:30.I gave him roast beef and salad for dinner,so it should come back down.If not,I'll give him 2-3 more units,but then I'll have to be up all night to make sure it doesn't get too low.That usually happens around 3 AM.

I slept from about 9am to 1PM.Usually I can keep him reigned in,but I just didn't wake up before he'd done the damage.

Pop's got an Entemanns strudel out of the freezer while I took my eye off him for 15 minutes and scarfed about 1/4 of it down.

I also had hot and sour soup and salad set for his lunch,but he snuck some leftover taters in it(starch).

Now his blood sugar is 438. {#Frustrated}

I don't know if his usual 7 units of insulin is going to be enough.

So once again,I get to hang by a nostril over the fiery pits of Hell while I wait to see WTF is going on.
