I had bought new potatoes and purple potatoes over a month ago and should have had them planted back then, but haven't had the drive to do anything this year. All I have growing is rhubarb and weeds this year.

They like cool weather and can even tolerate some borderline frosty temps. See this article. Summer in Texas might not work.
