that sounds like a blight or disease. not insects

I had bought new potatoes and purple potatoes over a month ago and should have had them planted back then, but haven't had the drive to do anything this year. All I have growing is rhubarb and weeds this year.

They like cool weather and can even tolerate some borderline frosty temps. See this article. Summer in Texas might not work.

Thanks! Last year and the year before, in Nebraska, I used those potato bags made for the purpose and had good results. We decided to try the bin thing this year. Not ideal gardening conditions in this yard really, much in containers.

Not sure, as I've never grown potatoes. Maybe go to that link and poke around. Good luck!
