Yeah, the mosquitoes, heat, and humidity within the city of Beaufort are pretty unbearable in the summer; whoever's turn it was to go into town for beer and groceries would want to do so before noon.  It is quite swampy around there - I saw a couple of 'gators this year; they're harder to find in N.C., unless you're really looking for them.  I usually prefer the mountains also.

Yea it gets pretty humid, mosquitoes can be intense also especially near Beaufort!{#Eek} Though I am from the area, lowcountry is not really my cup of tea.  I prefer mountains, hardwoods and cooler temps and not so many rich people!  I keed rich people aren't all bad, my brother in law is actually pretty cool because he grew up hardscrabble and still hunts and cleans most of his own food, gotta respect that.

I stayed at my sisters house on Daniel Island in Charleston SC this past weekend and I always knew they were wealthy but had no idea just how!{#Eek} Anyway they have a pool almost exactly like that, just a little bigger (salt water rocks!).  Funny thing was the tiling was probably the single most expensive construction material, they tiled a bigger area than this pool but materials alone for the back porch was over 150,000, some kind of fancy unpronouncable marble like tile.  It is funny, my sister is almost ashamed at the opulence.  It is just her and her husband, but they have 16 bathrooms!!  He just said he wanted to have a place like that for a couple of years to say he did it (he just retired), then they will sale, make a killer profit and get a reasonable place.{#Lol}
