Bunnies! We've had a lot of them this year. Wonder if that means fewer coyotes?

When I opened the front shades around 6am, I saw a young white tail deer in my neighbor's yard across the street. As I watched, it gracefully leaped over the picket fence, crossed the street into my front yard. It headed toward the back and I dashed into the sunroom to see it strolling through my back yard. I tried to get a camera in time to photograph it, but it easily jumped over the back wall and headed toward the creek. Lovely.

OK-These guys are creeping me out now.They're so spoiled they eat all the sunflower seeds but leave the corn and then just sit in the dogwood and oak trees outside the picture windows and glare at me,trying to guilt me into giving them more sunflower seeds.I'm not giving in until they eat what's on their plate.{#Lol}

We would have seen it on the water, but there was a tug problem that delayed them for several hours. Probably for the best, we got to avoid the protests and security.

My little town is having it's annual self celebration,kind of a drunk-a-thon in the park with crappy bands.As a result of the hoards of revelers,the songbirds are looking for a place to hang.I've got cardinals,doves,swarms of nuthatches,at least 2 redbellies,blue jays,the usual bunch of sparrows and grackles and Smaug the Squirrel came down out of the trees with a soaking wet tail and came up to the window to glare her way into some food,the freeloader.I gave up the leftover brown rice,but I'm keeping the pizza.
