No worries and thanks.  Sleep required medicinal intervention.  I'll get to it is what it is soon and just deal with it, like everything else.  We'll know more after her PET scan on Monday and find out what lights up and I find out what kind of NH Lymphoma she has.  There's no family history of NHL or any other kind of blood cancer until me and now my sister.  Oh well, oh hell. its just gonna be a long weekend.
.

An update.  She has Follicular lymphoma.  As far as the lymphoma family is concerned, she has caught a cold.  What is distressing so far is that whoever she is dealing with has recommended radiation even before running a PET scan.  She is going to the same animal hospital in Dallas (I forget the name) whose wonderful protocols led to one of its nurses contracting Ebola and also killed her husband with their bullshit treatment for his oral cancer.

Now its down to family drama and conquering misinformation.  She is already refusing treatment. This is the same sister who accused me of not taking my cancer seriously way back when and ignored any help that we offered when her husband was fighting his cancer.  Whatever.  Obviously, I would like her to come up here and get a second opinion from my doc, but more than likely she's going to bury her head in the sand and upset our Mom.  My only concern now is for our Mom who is understandably torn up over all of this.  At 89, she doesn't need or deserve this crap.

This coming Wednesday when I get my next shot will be interesting.  For the past several months, I've been talking to the social worker at my onc's office after the shot and she has been helping me by listening and helping me to prioritize things in my life. She has been a great help and the right person at the right time, especially with the return of Jr. to the household.  We will have plenty to talk about.

Thanks for listening and I shall attempt to get back to what ever it is I should be doing.

No you are not. The usa has a huge economy and most people have a decent standard of living. It's pretty hard to starve to death in America. Yes that standard of living is being eroded - it has been for decades and probably will for more decades before things get really dire for most. That doesn't mean it is right or fair to the people living on the edge but it is a long way from being screwed.

National security isn't a real issue - at least in terms of direct foreign threats. I don't doubt that terrorist attacks will continue at some level. But they aren't going to bring down the government. What will bring down the government is reactionary fear. It really sucks for the people killed but it sucked much more to live in London during the Blitz (or during the IRA troubles for that matter). Where's the national courage to recognise that the war on terror is one where you need to plan on dealing with for decades or maybe hundreds of years.

Make America Great Again just denies the things that really are great about it.
