I think that now is a good time to install the new garbage disposer we got last week.  Somehow taking something apart right now seems appropriate.

Better now.  The disposal went in properly, its real quiet and doesn't leak.

and if push comes to shove on the other thing, we know some people in the right places.

Hopefully it gets done the ethical way and we don't have to make phone calls to Columbus.

Damn what a day ...

Feeling better. Back pain is no joke. I've never hurt myself like this before. It's getting much much better after a few trips to the Chiro. That, however, is getting expensive. Today I'm going to tell them I just cannot afford 3x a week and even once a week will be tight but I think I can do that.

I hope your back is continuing to get better.

It's not a bad change. It's just a drastic one. A history-changing one.

Sure, let me know what it is and how it's working. Not like I'm going to the store tomorrow, but maybe I'll get some online.

I just got up for a quick urinal change,water/cranberry juice refill to help stave off a UTI  and to look at the snow.

I'm back on the 3-4 hourly check( and praying the walkie talkie doesn't go off) after almost no sleep the last 2 nights.

     Thanks.
edit-I've been using Medline no rinse cleaner and Bacitracin with a moisture barrier everywhere else, but picked up some CVS wound wash to try tomorrow.
I've got some Silvercell, but I don't want to put tape on his skin.

The stuff I've been using from the rehab is ConvaTec, 1. Perineal/skin Cleanser (no rinse ph balanced), 2. Skin Conditioner (Skin Protectant)  3.  Protective Ointment (Skin Protectant). I don't know if this is available in retail.

She also drinks cranberry juice, when she drinks  {#Doh}, and I give her a supplement every other day of Digestive Advantage, a probiotic. She runs constipated as well from the lack of drinking.

And yes try not to put tape over the wound unless it's he last resort. Had a big problem with my dad doing that, that made things even worse. Air tend to make the wounds heal faster.

You seem to be doing the right things so far. And yes, it doesn't get any easier does it.  {#Hug}

I just came off a 2 day little sleep shift myself.

I can give you the name tomorrow if you need. It's stuff I had left over from this summer and needed it this past couple weeks.

EDIT:
Also have a good pillow to put behind his back on one side then turn him in the other direction so he's not in the same position.
