You will never see that in my backyard. My cat Eddie can climb trees with almost as much agility as the squirrels. I have seen him scurry straight up a 50 plus foot tree just like they do.  The squirrels in our area have learned the hard way there is no escaping him so they don't dare show their faces on our property!{#Lol}

{#Lol} The tree in our back yard used to look just like that, only our squirrels were gray, not red. When one twitches, they all go flying off in a million different directions.

I had a stepdad who hated squirrels eating from his feeder... he was (comically) rabid about it. We, on the other hand, invited them into the yard and would feed them "squirrel corn" from special corn holders. (Greg, drama queen that he is, would start to panic if Lowes ran out of corn for more than a few weeks at a time... he'd say that there would never be any more squirrel corn because there was a food shortage and the corn was being fed to livestock. He'd call it "squirrel corn crisis mode", which cracked me up every time.) Of course, the squirrels preferred the bird seed anyway, but we were OK with that, too, because watching them is too much entertainment to pass up.
