Once upon a time I read that a pyramid of specific proportions had the power the sharpen
dull razor blades. I made one for my brother-in-law for Christmas. He said it worked.
But I think he was just humoring me. So... hey, you know?

When your sharp blade gets its corner point knocked off by a scratch in the light table, you can "sharpen" it by laying the blade across your index finger, so that the corner rests on the glass. Place your thumb so that it completely covers the corner, push down with your thumb while lifting the back edge with your finger until about ¼" to ½" of that end of the blade snaps off. DON'T LOOK while you're doing this. Maybe protect your eyes by taking a drink of coffee from your oversize mug. Voila! new point.

Never lay one down. They're difficult to pick up again and may inadvertently cut something that bleeds. Between cuts always bite it with your incisors. Skilled designers can speak on the phone with a razor blade hanging from their lip like a newspaper reporter does with a cigarette.
