Maybe people in New Jersey like it when their politicians are assholes.

My main criteria is do they get things done, do they do what they say they will, do they workfor the benefit of the majority of people in the state? From what i'vevread the answer for Christie is yes.

And if we got rid of all the politicians that are considered assholes there would be few left and that would not be that bad.

If Christie has not done well for his state how come his approval rating within the state is about 55% approve and 34% disapprove.

guess those that live elsewhere know better.

It is different only because it not socially acceptable to hate people based on their race, but it is socially acceptable to hate fat people.

Christie is an angry asshole who just happens to be obese.  I don't think you can draw any logical conclusions as to his health (mental or otherwise) based on his weight.

I didn't say I hated him, I said I didn't think he was a good fit for VP, and certainly not president.

IMO, people who are morbidly obese like he is have emotional issues that they don't deal with, and so they eat to sublimate their feelings, and in Christie's case, he also has a nasty hair trigger temper. This is hardly my opinion, it is the opinion of many doctors and psychologists.

Being a person of color is not the same as being fat. Apples and oranges. And I am not discriminating, I am saying he wouldn't make a good VP.

Also, he had some dealings that smelled real bad, can't remember now exactly what they were, but I am sure it won't be hard to find.

We don't need a guy in the WH who acts like an asshole, especially since his main purpose as VP is as a diplomat. With Idiot Willard at the helm and Hot Headed Christie as VP, we would be laughing stock of the world...again.

This is a very astute, well informed and objective commentary on the subject, can't see how anyone would have a problem with this assessment. Good job!

Oh I've followed him since he hit the national news cycle. You appear to have formed your opinion of him based on your choice(s) for news info, which is also true for me. Fair enough, but to connect his weight and/or eating habits to his character is no different than judging him based on his race.

Jumping the gun here / wishful thinking?  Maybe.

There's some sound reasoning in this commentary on some speculation.

Weekly Standard: Christie now under “serious consideration” for VP?

Also seen in the running for VP:  Paul Ryan or Marco Rubio.

A good case is made for both here.
