Oh, thanks for the invite, but we are kind of stuck with Mom-in-law for a bit. Her mobility is way down, and associated workload is way up...

The boat holds about 400 Gallons of water, but we cycle through it, so we might be low at any given time. But then I remember we have a water maker! So we are really just limited by the fuel for the generator (800 gallons, usually pretty topped off) and food, but I'd eat crab/fish from the river in a pinch.

Sometimes getting out of here (or back, as the case is here) can get a little dicey.

Yeah, we're hoping for a break on the thanksgiving weekend. We've been tied down too long!

No cover, we're in the North marina here. It's a mixed bag, but cover generally sucks in the summer. The North docks are a lot nicer, better power, wider, dock boxes, pump out.... but no covers. And really I'd only want it Nov-January (maybe Feb), and mostly so we could store some stuff outside the boat.

I looked an NIXLE when we moved up here, and went back to NOAA and PNSN. I really only care about seismic stuff and tsunamis for immediate alerts. I feel like there should be a better system, but I haven't found the right signal/noise ratio yet.

Arrows indicate direction. Color indicates speed purple/blue is calm - 0-10 knots; green/yellow is moderate - 10-20 knots, orange/red is high - 20-30 knots. The darker maroon here is indicating 35-40 knots. This will bring serious wave action, and make navigation really tough for even the hardiest souls. I try to stay in port if the predicted winds are over 20 knots. The boat will handle it, but it's uncomfortable, and getting in/out of docks and close quarters can be really hard. Also if you do have a problem, everything goes to hell faster and it's harder to get help.

Not yet. But overnight we're suppose to get an inch of rain, give or take a bit.

Which ain't much, compared to what's been coming further south of us lately.

Weezie and I took our evening stroll, earlier than normal because it's especially dark out there. And, there was this strange, *moisture* in the air, perhaps coming from up in the clouds? It didn't really reach the ground, and I think I have a vague recollection of what it was, in the long distant past. Rain, perhaps? Hopefully?
