It was unseasonably cold Saturday Night 10 C (50 F). I huddled in bed Sunday morning rather than get up early to go kayaking. Life is rough.

Wow. Makes me really glad I don't live downtown. I'm also very glad no trees downed power lines where I live. There is going to be lots of tree carnage to clean up when this melts.

I did have fun (thanks). It's pretty. Inconvenient, but pretty. I may go on a photo safari today, seeing as it's sunny and still on the ground.

Yeah, I noticed quite a few downed trees and branches sagging from the weight of the snow in those pics. I imagine there were some power outages. The city looked really beautiful, though.

Here in Atlanta, it's unseasonably warm one week after we were supposed to get a snowstorm but only received a coating of ice. I went to the park today and lots of people were out enjoying the balmy weather. At the dog park, I saw a dog wearing sunglasses, which sort of fit the laid back vibe. He was quite the center of attention. I tried to snap a picture but I wasn't fast enough to get him in the frame before he trotted along {#Laughing}

Last evening the local weather zealots were predicting icepocolypse. This morning, it looks as if we got a very small amount of rain, pretty much no ice deposits. I've lived here four decades and am still amazed how the local news - and especially weather - reporters dramatize everything.
