i expect some wind and rain

but it should push south over the keys (which is not good for them)

update

we'll get soaked (what else is new, it's the rainy season here)

the keys, esp key west could possibly take the brunt of this weather

are there any peeps in kw?

or later in the track la or ms?

oddly the photo link updates automatically

We have been in a severe drought all summer long. Last night around 3 AM a tornado touchdown two towns over from me in Concord MA with no warning with no thunder or no lightning.

It's all about acclimation.  people here really aren't used to this, and it is not a 'dry' heat. No one has A/C, and people are used to temperature swings of no more than 20 degrees.  It's really a big deal for fire danger.

But yeah, overall it's nothing like you guys have (that's why we are up here).

Well I've lived here since the Summer of '69.
It's still not fun.
The more you think about it... the worse it is.
And it always isn't a "dry heat".

It's funny. My wife and I went to Morro Bay/ Cambria/ Cayucus for a few days.
The temps never got over 64° F., and I wore a tee shirt and shorts... and I wasn't cold.
I just soaked it up. {#Cheesygrin}

It was pretty dry down here today. So much nicer than 97 degrees in humid Ohio.
