Both are really great!  I've probably listened to each one about five times.  'Rare Bird Alert' has more comedy.  'The Crow' has one funny song about being late for school.  Outside of the funny stuff, they are still both very solid CD's.  I'd recommend these to even the fair weather banjo music fan!

We saw him live with the Something? Country Ramblers...very entertaining and great music

I heard a little story about him recently, maybe on NPR? He has Alzheimer's, but is (or at least was) touring in support of this (presumably last) album. His daughter is in the band, and helps him when he lapses. It's quite a story. And the album is great.

I saw the report.  It was on 'CBS Sunday Morning'.  Very interesting!

A lovely, (older), acoustic Bruce Cockburn cd with several instrumentals. Showcases his excellent guitar playing. One very nice Christmas Song, and this beautiful song.

Whenever I see thefearofmissingout album cover I think of this recording I got some time ago. It's a beautifully recorded and performed album of swing jazz by Dick Hyman called From The Age Of Swing. I think it was recorded around 1990. If you like swing jazz and want to hear some really good performances all in one place, I highly recommend this one.

Listened to the new Glen Campbell CD on the way home yesterday. It is really quite wonderful. Glen commissioned Paul Westerberg to write some songs for him, and the results are great. Glen's voice is superb: somewhat different from his Rhinestone days, but still recognizably Glen. Highly recommended.

Hells yeah: three dance band discs (most of you wouldn't like them) and a homemade rap cd from a rapper passing them out on the sidewalk for donations (don't even know if I'll like it). Not enough for a seven hundred mile car trip, but I still have one or two mixtape culture club discs we didn't wear out on the way here.

A perfectly valid concern, but not one that I share. As long as the sound quality is decent, I'm fine with it.
