Beside the fact that there are much less viruses and malwares with Apple stuff, I really don't see the advantage of having this type of machine for music .  I think I would go with Ubuntu before Apple os.    I've red your post and you seem to enjoy good sounding music,  why don't you get something that will do the job properly ?

Here with windows 8.1 ,   all the browsers handle RP with ease,  Waterfox (x64) , Palemoon( x64) , Firefox, Opera.    As a matter of fact  Chrome is buggy as hell , it doesn't resolve the dns or simply won't load some pages after a while and I'm not alone with this bug. Which mean that if there is a hiccup with the stream you might loose it completely. Cleaning up the cache will only make it work well for a couple of hours, then it goes bad again.
Just curious... and i might be wrong since I don't own a Mac.   I guess that you also own a PC, right ? or you simply use the Mac !

Cheers mate !

Ever since I upgraded to Mavericks 10.9.2 I have discovered an interesting "feature". When I click play on the webpage player it doesn't start playing until the next song starts. Does this in both Chrome and Safari 7.03. If I hit stop and then play it will again wait until that song ends before it starts playing again. PSD works perfectly normal but when it finishes again it waits until the next main channel song starts, If I reboot back into 10.6.8 Snew Leopard it works normally and starts playing normally.  Weird stuff....

Is it just me or are some of the steams down this morning? PSD is working fine but 192 & 128 not working from the built in player.

The latest Chrome beta from yesterday has a brand new RP problem. The Raft no longer updates properly. Instead of it updating with new posts it takes an older page from cache and displays it instead. Its 100% consistent in doing this, So you have to hit the reload button or "refresh this page" if you are using the website player. Just a heads up in case someone else runs into this,

Yeah. Usually.  Still a pain, though.  Sorry I haven't had more time to spend on this. It bugs me too.

I too have been having tons of problems with the RP2 app crashing on my iPhone over the last month. I'm running the latest HW and SW. My brother reports the same thing and he's on a different cell network. Today it happened every time the song changed, suggesting the song info is crashing the app.

I disagree with Dave re: the "back" function, however.

It hasn't worked for me in quite awhile. Especially journals. I have updated Chrome etc. I can go back on my cell mobile app tho. Connection time outs seem to be as I surf sites and suddenly click back to Rp tab. Only site that does this for me. PC/Vista?Chrome 34 yadayada.

It looks like both your payment systems transmit payment info to the payment providers, Authorize.net and PayPal, and so normally you would not be concerned as PCI compliance is farmed out but in this case I understand the info I submit passes through your servers, thus potentially exposing it to this risk.

I searched your site but could not find a statement on this issue. Seems a little risky since payments can be managed through member accounts and these credentials can potentially be monitored from your server.

Yeah, I've seen that too.  It's a result of the way our image editor responds to the reloading of the post page.

Yes thats why I have stuck with 10.6.8 myself. Well that and they didn't have an AMD kernel for 10.9 until now. I will be keeping the 10.6.8 and 10.9 will be on a different partition. I already ran into a problem installing Mavericks. There are no 10.9 drivers for my Rosewill wireless adapter.

The one thing they haven't fixed is the random crashing on startup if RP is in a tab from the last use of Chrome. Its something in the built in player that seems to cause it. Sometimes I have to start Chrome several times before it stops crashing. Once its up you can close out RP and re open it as much as you want and it will never crash again until you quit Chrome and launch it again. Clearing the cache doesn't help.
