You'll now get this message if you try to drag an image into the post editor:

(dragging of images into post editor is not allowed)

You would not believe how many problems that has caused.

Since time-shifting is a perfectly acceptable practice, is there a way to make your Android and Kindle apps work while not connected to the internet at all?

Right now, if I set either player to 12 hours, it won't even start to play, nor try to fill the cache.  If it hit, "fill cache", of any small size, sometimes, but not always, I can get it to fill the cache.  However, if I close the app and try to play without internet, it won't play at all, and it also empties the cache.   Emptying the cache by any other means than a manual refresh or override, or by just using up the cache should never occur.  My DVR works this way, and does NOT remove any part of the cache until it is recording more material, and if it is not recording/caching more, it simply plays, and allows me to time-shift back and forth from within that cached content.  So, why shouldn't this app work that way and not destroy the cache?

IMO, here's how it should work:

When cache is set to 12 hours for instance, (and I have plenty of storage),
And I am connected to the internet, when do the following, this should result:
 — Start Play >
+Starts filling the cache with both pictures and sound.
+Both pictures and sound playing instantly, but serviced from the cache data, not the live feed
IF there was already cache contents, start filling from the end, ie, don't overwrite what was there.
+The cache fill should show in settings of how full the cache is.
Preferably there would be an option showing how full the cache is, from the main play screen, not just from settings.
  — Closing the app or rebooting, PRESERVES the cache content.
  — Reopening the app
+Starts playing from wherever I left off inside the cache
+Cache refills from the end until full
 — New "Play (almost) Live",
+Starts playing, but from near the very end of the cache, say, one minute or two. (Call it a buffer setting instead of cache)
+Displays a "progress/cache bar with timeline", of the chosen cache size of, in this case, 12 hours.
+The cache continues to fill, but it drops off the oldest content to preserver the 12 hour limit of the cache, and the progress bar is showing I am at the end, on live/current time

When not on the internet, and I start the app, it works identically to what I have above, except it doesn't fill the cache anymore, and plays until the cache is depleted, but also allows me to replay any portion of the app..

As an added plus, this slider bar allowing us to move back and forth within the cache, just like you do on a DVR would be preferable.  That way, we could replay the rare occasions that Bill talks to us over and over again!   Seriously, sometimes I DO miss and would like to hear his commentary, and would like a 15 second replay button, at least.

(I assume this is the best place to talk about the Apps?)

The PSD and main stream slider is set at about 75% along the bar.

As an experiment, try setting it to 100% and see if you still get the volume difference.

Also, please don't drag photos into the post editor.  I really need to find a way to disable that, because it causes all sorts of problems.  Those of you who've complained about having the connection reset whenever you reply to a particular post?  That's what causes it, almost every time.

Where do you have the volume slider set on our web player?  It's possible that that setting is affecting PSD but not the main stream — though I don't see how.

Very Strange, it is now working...albeit at a lower volume level.

Is there any reason why the volume level of PSD would be 'lower' than the main stream?

PSD is working now, but the volume level is definitely quieter than the normal stream.

I didn't reboot or change any settings....as I said, odd, but thanks for checking.

A new Wrinkle.

I just pressed PSD, and the new PSD title is:

What is playing though is Tracy Chapman's "All that you have is your soul'!
