Yeah, these are real healers. Absolute examples of unifying a divided country. Perfect evidence of those building bridges and finding commonality to grow from rather than further divisive actions bringing the propagation of a moralistically judgemental structure. Really, healers.

Just listen, they'll tell you that is what they are! Compassionate, and conservative. Actions, bah! It's words that matter. Don't you feel the compassion? Listen to their words!

In the past - you can hear this ilk speaking out against women voting and equality between the sexes (the bible says the husband is the leader of the family). You can hear their predecessors putting forward policies supporting segration and racial separation (the bible says that it is okay to own slaves).

People of a like mind having stood upon the mount of their superiority and moral judgement to rail against all the past choices which advanced society and progressed freedom for all. Whether they individually believed it or not, holding back "the others" allowed for their place in front to remain stationary, their grasp on authority to remain in place.

Now, those of similar mind repeat the grasping or moral indignation, common beliefs, exclusionary policies, put forward previously by similar predecessors. Repeat the promulgation of their power by demonizing others. Now standing tall against having legal ( not religious) recognition and equality for another class of tax paying, voting, consenting adults and citizens. And doing so with the warmth of the Christian bible to confort their cold hands.

Because that which is contrary to their definition of moral, because that which challenges their institutionalized "superiority", and because grasping outrage against that differs from their "vision" provides for a continuing demon to stir up their base. Morals don't exist without someone in judgement, and who better than them, who better than the "uniters"? Who more appropriate than the "compassionate conservatives"?

Having "the gays" to rail against, to cast as outsiders, to point at as "the others" is a fine tool - always available to rile up the sheep into a judgemental (and money-giving, voting) frenzy. Maintain the base, keep them riled up against "them" and scared of the threat from "the others" ... and continue to be in power because your base is riled up, scared, giving your causes money, and voting for you from their ignorance and fear.

Those who disagree just need to look at their sin. They're uniting the country behind god-fearing morals! They're healing the divisions of society by returning to traditional values! Those who disagree should just get out. One nation under God. Love it or leave it.

Hypocritical lying self-serving moralistic fascist fuckers.

And the moral voting sheeple, without thinking, or questioning, or seeking any understanding beyond that which they're told - nothing beyond that which they've been taught - say baaa-aaaaa-aaah.

Rove speaks out on Bush's win
By Jim Drinkard, USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — President Bush "absolutely" will use his second term to push for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, his top political strategist said Sunday. Karl Rove, who oversaw Bush's re-election victory, said Bush will renew the effort, which failed in Congress this year but may enjoy new support after 11 states approved bans on same-sex marriage on Election Day.
