"Deuces are wild: 2 balls 2 strikes 2 on 2 out in a 2–2 tie." Why does that just tickle me when Vin points that out?

Vin learned lip-reading about 70 years ago... he does enjoy "translating" those arguments. Which are too rare these days, what with all the instant replay and whatnot.

Yeah, he sounded like he was having a lot of fun with that one, though he doesn't give that away by laughing - he probably never did.
That's a pretty difficult call on that play - even with the replay.

There can only be one Lasorda. Ever.
After he had a heart attack years ago I saw an interview where he said he was going vegetarian and would never eat anything that had a face. {#Lol}

My wifi signal can't get through 2 brick walls and numerous coats of lead paint.so I ran a cable until I get unbanged up enough to move furniture to reposition the router.Anyway,it's awesome! The voice control feature is flawless,I'm tempted to use test it's ability to detect slurred speech as an excuse to get drunk.{#Lol}

Ours is the generation before yours, so sadly no voice control. Altho Charlie was trying to use google voice to "type" a report last night and it was a comedy of "the reservoir at the Shoshone Damn... Dad! come see what it wrote!" So I figure voice control in this house might not work out.

I do like that you can plug headphones into the remote. That's a big deal... I might get to watch Breaking Bad finally.

Anyway, got the new old Roku3 hooked up and MLBtv hasn't buffered once *knocks on wood* Normally it makes it a couple of innings and then balks and I have to restart the stream or even reboot the whole unit (Roku1)

Hanley Ramirez left Monday's game due to illness.

There's a flu bug going around some MLB clubhouses and Hanley apparent caught it. He grounded out to first base in the bottom of the first inning and was then replaced in the top of the third by Allen Craig. Ramirez, who already has five homers and 12 RBI in 12 games with Boston, can be considered day-to-day.

Interesting. Also, I was able to watch the entire Giants pregame (altho the WS Ring ceremony) so that was good. I'd rather have the pregame chatter than the "game will begin shortly" silent banner that the Roku usually has.

I watched a couple of NFL games last year from a link that I found on reddit. It was a Chinese satellite feed that had almost no commercials (and the couple that were there were Chinese), but it had all the booth mikes on during the breaks. It was really cool to hear the chatter and then immediately switch to game mode when they were on.
