Looks like they've been aerial spraying once a week as a result of the vicious Asian Tiger skeeter invasion.

 Thanks Obama Google.

With all the attention that I've seen regarding the misfortune the Japanese brought upon themselves during this week many years ago(I'm too lazy to pull up the Windows calculator, don't have a pencil and I can't subtract 1945 from 2014 without either.)If I was driving,I could text a friend and, oops,I'm getting off track here.
I was going to ask whatever happened to Japanese beetles, but maybe I'll just blame Obama for it.

Sorry fella, but that's the last drink you're ever gonna have, unless you ride with us on this herd to Nacogdoches and can chug moonshine from the crook of your elbow while riding a horse.

If you can't keep up,we'll leave you for the Comanches.

(All the above was said in a John Wayne voice)
2 ounces of high test beer kicked Pops butt.

I think I will have to file that in the "things you should not experiment with again" category.

When I was a teenager my great aunt (who lived with my grandparents) would often come to "babysit" when my parents went out not because we really needed a babysitter anymore but because it was her one chance to get away from her sister and have a beer.  She would never have more than one because she said it put her under the table.  We always tried to get her to have that second one but she knew her limits.

Todd talks about why folks need to stop purchasing individual songs, and begin using subscription services, like Spotify.

1) Musical omnivores appreciate the ability to open the giant treasure chest of albums on the Spotify/Rdio servers and pick out the ones that interest them without having to prepay, not knowing if they'll like it but that's OK, since it didn't cost them extra to try it. It encourages musical experimentation.
2) Folks like me who bought vinyl, and cassette, and 8 track, and CD, and DVD-A - have no intention of buying Abbey Road yet again, but still "deserve" to have a fresh copy of it.
3) This is different than the curated, thoughtful playlist that BillG puts together on RP - and he deserves his own payment for the work he does to introduce us to worthy tunes. In the past he's turned me on to Elbow, Radiohead, and many many more.

So I'd argue that the contemporary music obsessive needs two things: 1) an RP subscription and 2) a subscription to some music service.
But not a room full of CDs anymore...

Republic Tigers, Jenny Lewis and those creepy twins, Little Village, etc. etc. etc.
Plus playing perennial faves like Bruce Springsteen.

The only thing I'd ask for is more old-school country music, but I get a pretty good fix from KOKEFM. And Bill does play a Hank tune now and then.
