a few random thoughts...

i have a lot of experience in fundraising

i can tell you that electronics are a great raffle item (tee vees, tablets, ipods, an xbox, etc.)

they have universal appeal and folks use them on a daily basis

i'd say the rifle was probably donated

it's going to appeal to a smaller group of people, mostly collectors

you can't do much about the current raffle

maybe contact a firearm instructor and get them offer a free safety course with it

going forward those holding the raffle or fundraiser should go to the walmart, best buy or the local vendor and ask to get the tv donated or at cost

maybe a simple well placed phone call, email and /or face to face could get the desired result (pta, school board meeting, etc)

express concerns about possible liability and question the overall message that they would like to send to the community

peace

{#Good-vibes}

If they really want to raise money, there are other things they could do with the gun.

I loaded the bird feeder last night, tossed some nyjer, sunflower seeds and cracked corn on the ground, stuck a leftover Taco Bell bean burrito on the corn cob holder(seriously) and put out some stale bread. No takers.

There's been a hawk out all morning and the only critters to not worry about it were robins.Steel cage meat eating birds death match soon?

Can't verify the exact figures on this, but it is close enough to portray the proper point:

I have the round one. It doesn't seal as well as I'd like, but it's fine. I usually overstuff it, it's so big, so I wind up with 1/4-pound ravioli

Well the idea is not new:

These are available for $20 or so at most kitchen stores. The only difference is the amount of separation between the pieces.

And if you already have an Atlas pasta roller machine, you can get their ravioli accessory for it. But that always seemed like it would produce a lot of wasted noodle and filling.

I usually make mine all by hand. Roll out the pasta, use a melon-ball scoop for fillings, lay the second sheet on top and then roll the seams with something heavy like the edge of our crockpot lid.
