A thought this morning: As long time listeners sometimes lament ... 'I've heard this tune/set so often - isn't it about time to retire it?' I may have even had that thought myself a few times. And then I thought ... wait a minute. Check out the song comments for and note the comments from those only just NOW discovering the artist/tune.

Yeah. Change -nothing- RP. Think of all the listeners that are only hearing their first tune from an amazing artist they've NEVER heard of before. So what if it's one of the artists in 'regular RP rotation'.

This thought courtesy of a tune from the fine voice of Anna Ternheim a few minutes ago - an artist I'd never have heard of ... if not for RP.

Unceasing conflict, direct evidence of Bigfoot, hand-drawn diagrams depicting both correct and incorrect elevator maintenance, and a solid gold chocolate pudding cake.

Also music and friendship.

So. It has come to this.

Well, maybe a little past this. Out here at the limits of perception, where the high beams dazzle and the low beams illuminate no more. The Edge. The Fringe. Where we pass from Knowing to Guessing, where what we proclaim exceeds what we learn, where our will to drive on is fueled only by righteous faith that, no matter what is ahead of us, what is behind us can only catch up by backscrolling.

And really who has time for that? Did Jesus? Captain Nemo? No! They had history for that. And so are we.

Well ahoy and amen, brother.  Now, reach me a little of that smoked whiskey barbecue sauce will ya, Slim?
