Giant Joint Confiscated by UC Santa Cruz Police on 4/20 Celebration; Two Arrested

UCSC Police brought in officers from other campuses to monitor the annual smoke-out day at a cost of $40,000. Attendance was down, officials said.

"It's hard to say that an event which drew thousands of people was smaller than it has been in the past, but it was," said Burns. "We still ended up spending money we don't have on something we wish didn't take place."

Maybe the proceeds from the sale of the two pound doobie they confiscated can help defray their expenses?

Who hasn't heard the claim that the stuff available today is more potent than what was decades ago ?

After nearly 50 years of thinking about it, it's simply not true.

I think that it is more dependent on who you know.

How can one toke now be any better than one toke then ?

DC is preparing to open their first medical marijuana dispensaries. This is of great interest to me because of my fibromyalgia and the relief that marijuana brings to the pain, anxiety, depression, fatigue and depression that comes with this condition. As I read further, I find that the only conditions that one will be able to get a medical marijuana card for are cancer, MS, glaucoma and HIV/AIDS. WTF? This will require some more lobbying and activism to get this changed to include fm, spinal stenosis, and many other chronic pain conditions.
