This excellent article  (The many lives of Martha Woodroof: From the struggle for civil rights to public radio) about my friend who visited her home town (Greensboro, NC) on her recent book tour.

Get some screwed up CD's (aka Coasters), punch a hole in em and tie them to branches and let them dangle in the breeze.

Also a really good one is a fake owl to put somewhere conspicuous.  Works great with pigeons to be sure.

Funny how there are no more pigeons hanging around downtown Cleveburg.  Ever since they brought in Peregrines  to nest on the taller buildings, the piggies be gone.  Falcon dinner I suppose.  The statues sure look better regardless ...

 Better living through chemistry. Maybe.

A little reward for some hot yard-work, i.e. pulling up ivy and spreading wood chips in the flower bed in the background.
