You would hate working on me unless you are really strong and you may be (I have heard from various masseuses massage therapists* that bodybuilders are harder to massage), I have had some tiny little women with powerful hands put a real hurtin' on me!{#Eek}

Yeah, I don't take on any body-builders. My injury would come right back. (My sister has worked on a Cincinnati Bengal or two—and she literally uses power tools—a sander and a jigsaw—that have been adapted with fitments to use for massage and break down thick muscle mass tension)

I don't need to use deep work to get results. I can make muscles release with triggerpoint and myofascial modalities. If people absolutely have to walk away feeling pain—which is totally a preference, not a necessity, then they aren't my kinda clients. Other LMTs' MMV.

Yeah, knots can shift around. Muscle fibers are amazing to work with....

Yea a tennis or racquet ball is not near hard enough; it has to be a stone of some sort; topaz works wonders for me.  If the sphere is not hard enough, the knots will just laugh at its puny softness (Hans and Franz voice{#Lol}).

morning, pal!

i'm starting to feel much better. the boss is back from his 4 day conference in Asheville NC and i asked if i could borrow his hook thing he got from the back store (which was actually in his office!) and he asked where my knot was, so i showed him, not expecting this but he just started pushing on it and went "holy cow! that's huge! does this help?" and was pressing on it really hard and i swear to FSM that made it feel better right away. immediately my face got warm and i swear i felt something move and heat traveling up to my neck (toxins?). anyway, the knot is still there, but feels a little better and he said i could use his back store hook thing as long as i needed it.

edit - it's called a Theracane

it is a miracle.
