I went to one of my favorite overlooks to shoot the dynamic afternoon light looking west in the Gorge after work today. This location happens to be up on a bluff directly across the river from my home windsurfing site, Swell City. About the time I arrived the wind came up and gusted over 45 mph on the river. I had to hunker down a few times and really hang onto my gear the wind was so strong. I don't usually turn and shoot Swell City, but this time I did. Turning the camera sideways to the wind made it very difficult to shoot, so I snapped one quick shot then went back to shooting what I came there for.

Anyway, that's Swell City far left. The wind came up so quickly the swells didn't really have a chance to develop.
