Did you see the stuff on NPR? Hmm that doesn't make sense.
Saw it. Man, they've really latched onto him, eh?
It's weird 'cause I had heard the first single and really wasn't too impressed. Kinda shelved my anticipation of the release in favor of geeking out over that National album. Turns out the whole thing is really REALLY good. Not the...errmmm.....easiest listen, but man can that dude write a lyric.
Three weeks to the day after The National's new release, Isbell's competing against Berninger for Sad Bastard Lyricist Ruler of the World. The winner, of course, is ptooey.

Keaggy is a local hero here in North East Ohio, Youngstown to be specific.
Seem him several times with his original band Glass Harp in local small halls. Never seen him solo. Truly an amazing artist and player.
Just thinking of him makes me smile. His music is truly godlike.
Might have to break out the first Harp album as this day has that kind of feel to it.
I had Premium Jams CD1 & CD2 a while back and lent them to a friend never to be seen again. Glad i got them ripped before lending them. His playing really shines on those Jam albums.
