Dreamed last night that I got new hair.

I remember a dream once in a blue moon and I get this...

I don't usually remember much about my dreams but had one the other night that was very disturbing. I dreamt that Petey got lost and no matter what I could not find him. I woke up thinking Petey was missing until I looked at the foot of the bed and there he was sleeping. It haunted me all the next day.

And I posted over at the other place that the beautiful part of this story was that I had spent quite a bit of time laying in my back yard looking at the stars that night. 

Last night I dreamt that Beanie and I were together outside her house at night (there was more to the dream prior to this, but I've forgotten it). There were multitudes of stars in the sky and we lay down side by side to look at them. As we gazed, the pinwheels of stars began to move and I realized that they were bats/birds ... We both gasped out loud.

wish my dreams weren't quite so easy to interprete but, well, at least it was vivid:
I was standing on some kind of superstructure connecting a building to the shore and I was watching how large ice floes were being pushed in towards the piers of the building and were crunching up there into a contorted mass before dissolving. This pattern was repeated four or five times. Then suddenly a huge raft of ice came in and crumpled up underneath the superstructure I was standing on and it all collapsed into this huge wave of water. My last thought before going under was "better take a big breath" and I did. I then had that really vivid dropping feeling you sometimes get in dreams where I fell for eternity into the depths but when it stopped I still had enough air and I felt strangely ok and resurfaced shortly thereafter and thought, I'd better go and check on the family.

So I guess it's kind of good news.

I was in a bar or grill in some city. It was upstairs in an old converted mill of some type with the refinished floors and large post and beam framing.
I was about to leave when Paul and John came in without immediately being recognized  I said hello to Paul and moved with them to a bar height table and sat down. John said he had to go to the John, which I found extremely amusing, and stepped away. We ordered beer and I ordered watermelon and offered to share it with Paul. He seemed delighted and we shared it and began talking about whatever. John came back and ordered a small salad. They seemed oblivious to the murmur and stares, but I was aware of the encroaching onlookers. We continued to talk and laugh and a few others joined at the table. Suddenly P and J looked at each other and arose to leave. I stood with them as Paul said they had to go to some music function. I asked him if it was private and he said "I'm afraid so." I shook their hands; Paul gave the Soul shake and famous smile, and said good byes and they left. People stood around amazed and talking excitedly as one woman gathered together everything off the table that they had used or touched and laid it out on a different table like treasure. I was aware of being completely disgusted and woke up...

Part of what's interesting is that my brother played the mandolin, and used to play this sweet, short melody all the time. I discovered, after his death, when I found it on a tape he'd made, that he'd named it after me.
