Thursday in Napa. Seen him more than anyone else, and still excited. There's always more.

Going to California and there's not a lot happening, of course (because SFW comes to town, the shows all stop), but Sub Pop records' Helio Sequence is playing a little club near Justine's childhood home. A band from Sao Paulo is opening, so that's actually become something I'm looking forward to. Last day of our vacation will be at ptooey & hiccup's backyard: Los Lobos is playing a festival on Casper Mountain! I've seen them many times (it's a Dead-like thing, and they actually do some Dead covers so...) but their outdoor shows tend to be pretty trippy. Club shows tend to be RAWK, sit-down theater shows are more finesse, which is cool, but the outdoor shows are pretty intense, usually.

I imagine that we will attend another concert or three before we check out, but none of them are likely to hold a candle to the one we experienced on July 5th, 2015.

Thanks, he does put on a superb show with top-notch musicians. Saw him last summer at the same venue and in an up-close-and-personal studio show at a radio station.

I could imagine.  She played in a small theater nearby here last week; unfortunately I was unable to attend.

If you're near Petaluma, the Mystic Theater, you might get to see something like this...

His website says he's playing down at Felton but the Don Quixote website doesn't have it. But he's playing Bottom of the Hill 2 times, so ...

That Felton place (I've never been there) has James McMurtry, John Doe, Pokey LaFarge, Big Sandy et al coming in the next few months... I'd think about drifting down there...

Mike Doughty!

I might be able to make that June 5th one. Gotta attend an Indian wedding on the 6th that should be a Really Big Show...
