Yep, I liked it too. Also saw the new Bladerunner movie the other day, which I loved. A worthy sequel.

It's on sale now for $105 for a year of being able to go to a movie every day.

That's pretty cool. As someone who tags along to a lot of Marvel movies and then can't justify also going to an actual film, I'd get one of those just for me.

Watched Apur Sansar (The World of Apu), final film in Satyajit Ray's "Apu" trilogy. Really good film, very old fashioned/not expensive production but impressively moving.

Like the first two, it mimics life, veering between hope, joy, pathos, heartbreak, desperation, etc. One of the better love stories on film features in the plot. The trilogy showed what rank beginners can accomplish.

I like Roger Ebert's summation that the Apu trilogy  serves to remind movie lovers what cinema has the potential to be.

Just saw the Intouchables. A French movie based on a true story-subtitled. Fantastic and touching.  I think it's only in LA and NY right now, but it's supposedly broken records in Europe that Hollywood has never broken. If you can find it see it.  Heard there's a Hollywood version in the works but see the original if you can.
