So, Life on Mars (UK) was indeed great.

Excellent and poignant use of music (like some other TV series such as Breaking Bad or The Wire).

Hilarious humour (as it took place in '73, a good excuse to be very politically incorrect, in keeping with the times).

Suspenseful 'til the very end, and not that long of a run (all done in sixteen episodes).

The only problem (aside from the usual time warp issues) is that the Jean Genie and Ballroom Blitz have been stuck in my brain... {#Mrgreen}

Someone has been kind enough to compile a soundtrack as a torrent (for which I obviously can't provide a link. See the guidelines). {#Cheesygrin}

Speaking of strange planet alignments and interesting coincidences in life... I rented as a gift to an ex (we're still friends today) a home in Santa Fe in the '80's owned by Donald Rumsfeld.  aaargghh!  At least the checks were made to his company.
