This happened last summer IIRC. I drove to the airport to drop off my oldest. They were calling for rain that day and i was not looking forward to driving 1 1/2 hours in the rain early in the morning when it was still dark. Turned out the rain held back all the way to the airport. I had brought a CD with me to listen to on the way back home. A friend of mine had recommended it. I was familiar with the band, but not this particular album or any of the songs. After saying my goodbyes i go back to the (covered) parking lot. The rain was now coming down full tilt! Just a-pouring. I drive out into the rain. I wait until i hit the highway before playing the CD. Once i'm on the highway, the rain is beating down hard on the windshield with the wipers flapping furiously in a vain attempt to give me a clear vision of the road. I pop the CD in and return my right hand on the steering wheel, gripping it tightly. So here i was, white-knuckling the steering wheel and peering ahead with slightly squinted eyes making sure the road had my full attention. The CD had started playing. Loud, the way i like it. It was a blues tune. The music played for about 20 seconds and then the singer belts out: "Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel". Talk about freaky.
...a couple of hours after reading this my HD came up with Roadhouse Blues by the Doors...
I was waiting at a very long red light outside of the street where my apartment is, yearning to be home after a long day.....and Grand Funk Railroad's "I'm Your Captain" was at the —

As I settled into my bus seat for the commute home today, I closed my eyes and began to think positive thoughts about getting this job (that I phone-interviewed for), or the one that a friend is trying to help me get. And deliverance from poverty. And this came on my psychic iPod.
Help is coming I heard a whisper White caps turning Breath of summer....
The entire time I was down the street shopping for various things and picking up dinner.....I had Goodnight California stuck in my head. And now it's on when I get home.
I bought a DM album not too long ago, and one of the songs came up. Bill started playing "In Sympathy" at exactly the same moment, from the same album.
Edit: different albuum actually, so not that much of a coincidence (still a little though)

My day was starting out rough, had a little road rage episode, and was starting to freak out in the car, when Steven Wilson started singing to me, Breathe In, Breathe Out...
