This is in response to a thread I came across today.

I believe that my life is sooo much better with meds than it ever could be without.  When I was 20 I sort of flipped out in varying degrees over a period of about nine months (no I wasn't pregnant).  Finally it got so bad that I quit school, quit my job, quit sleeping, and landed in the hospital on the psych ward.  The strangest thing was when my parents brought me to the hospital and a doctor came to see me and then asked me to sign a paper that had the words, "mentally ill" circled as one of about three choices.  By that point I was so flipped out that I just signed it and unknowingly went up to "the ward" with my parents and a nurse.  They kept talking about how they were just going to ask me some questions and then we would go get Chineese food.  Wrong!

Well, here is my first real attempt at a journal.

On Wednesday this week I went with my friend Michelle to the Minnesota State Fair, home of all things on-a-stick.  The first thing we did was to get Deep Fried Corn Fritters for me and a Pronto Pup for Michelle.  Corn Fritters are served with honey butter, and holy sweet buttery goodness!!  Honest to FSM, they were tasty!

Next we went to the Butterfly House which was kind of cool 'cause it's full of butterflies that'll land right on you, but it's also kind of sad because a lot of them land on the floor and then people accidentally step on them and their wings get all raggedy.    Michelle bought a cool butterfly shirt there.  It reminded me of a Mattisse painting.

After that, we went on the Space Tower:
