Miles Davis - Blue In Green
(May 10, 2012 - 18:33)
the definitive desert island album.perfect.

Air - Talisman
(May 04, 2012 - 09:54)
The theme sounds to me a lot like a particular Paul Weller song. 5 notes...hard not to imitate somebody, sometime, somewhere.

Steely Dan - My Old School
(May 03, 2012 - 17:55)
How come there is no 11 rank?

Niki and The Dove - Mother Protect

Broken Social Scene - Sweetest Kill
(Apr 30, 2012 - 20:48)
BSS is brilliant and thrilled to hear them on RP...but this video...man...too weak a stomach to even think about it...

The Black Keys - Run Right Back
(Apr 13, 2012 - 10:30)
black key is also my mute button.

The Guess Who - American Woman
(Apr 10, 2012 - 12:56)
Apparently, this song was mostly improvised (the lyrics that is) as the band was just in this groove and Burton stepped to the mike and started with that classic line. Would never have made it to vinyl had not there been someone in the studio with a tape recorder...one of the first of the kind..

The Who - Love, Reign O'er Me
(Mar 29, 2012 - 12:11)
The soundtrack of teen angst. always been a ten/10. absolutely brilliant.

Cowboy Junkies - Me and the Devil
(Mar 26, 2012 - 18:35)
Bought this album when it first came out.. apparently only 10K copies were pressed so i treasure my copy like you can't imagine. Always thought this was their best...spare and minimalist with deep feeling. If you're looking for incredible musicianship, no this album ain't it. But if you want to hear an original blues sound, played sparingly and under the influence of a hangover...this is it. S
