Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill
(Oct 07, 2012 - 06:45)
Pete rides his bicycle around the stage during a concert for this song. Brilliant.

Apocalyptica - Ruska
(Sep 30, 2012 - 14:36)
This song is making me crave a glass of Merlot wine.

Nick Drake - Three Hours
(Sep 01, 2012 - 08:42)
Reminds me of Bert Jansch's Blackwater Side. The 60s were a time of folk revival in the UK.

Eels - Things the Grandchildren Should Know
(Jul 28, 2012 - 07:10)
The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. - Henry David Thoreau

Harvey Reid - Racing the Storm

One of my favorite EJ songs.

Pearl Jam - Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
(Dec 12, 2010 - 16:00)

Listening to the live version is so refreshing after hearing the album version on the radio a million times.

(Nov 23, 2010 - 16:19)
Brilliant song!

The Passengers - Your Blue Room
(Nov 06, 2010 - 11:15)
This CD has been collecting dust in my closet. I should give another listen. Excellent stuff.

Finley Quaye - Dice
(Sep 16, 2010 - 15:13)
Brilliant song with great lyrics. I only wish Finley Quaye would have had other songs similar to "Dice".

(Aug 29, 2010 - 12:04)
Good but I prefer their earlier stuff.

Sinead Lohan - Don't I Know

Did she drop off the planet? I really enjoyed this album and hoped for more.

Kate Bush - Love and Anger
(Aug 07, 2010 - 12:00)
Probably the most distinctive female pop singer voice.

Seal - Crazy
(Jul 24, 2010 - 09:21)
Always loved the top notch production of Seal's albums.

Peter Gabriel - Shaking The Tree (w/ Youssou N'Dour)

This song always lifts me up and it never gets old.

Siouxsie & the Banshees - Kiss Them For Me
(May 31, 2010 - 19:12)
This song is so hypnotic. The violins, the guitars and of course...Siouxie's voice.

Sarah McLachlan - Possession
(May 15, 2010 - 11:20)
Her voice, lyrics and music helped me through a period of personal depression.

Al Stewart - Year Of The Cat
(May 15, 2010 - 06:20)
I remember hearing this song on AM radio when I was a kid.

Peter Gabriel - Shaking The Tree (w/ Youssou N'Dour)

Hard to believe that this song is over 20 years old.

Peter Murphy - Cuts You Up
(Apr 29, 2010 - 06:38)
"Look for what seems out of place". The lyrics in this song are so abstract. "It takes you in and spits you out". One of my favorite songs from the late 80s.

The Cure - Just Like Heaven
(Apr 03, 2010 - 06:43)
This song has got to be the most catchiest hook-filled song ever. How can anyone not love this song?

Yo La Tengo - Autumn Sweater
(Jan 22, 2009 - 13:55)
I have this song in my iPod. It's a good song to listen to while daydreaming.

AC/DC - War Machine
(Jan 16, 2009 - 07:27)
This is my least favorite track on the new album.

Coldplay - Cemeteries Of London
(Dec 19, 2008 - 06:12)
This is my favorite album of year even if they did rip off Steve Vai. This album does not grow old on me. In fact, Coldplay is now in one of my top ten favorite bands. If you buy one CD for a friend or relative for Christmas, let it be this album.

The Cure - In-Between Days
(Dec 18, 2008 - 15:13)
Yes, The Cure always conjures up old memories of ex-girlfriends, college life, carefree youth and random altered states of sobriety/consciousness.

U2 - Until the End of the World
(Dec 11, 2008 - 11:53)
This is a solid album from beginning to end. Love the Daniel Lanois production.

The Republic Tigers - Buildings and Mountains
(Dec 10, 2008 - 04:46)
I gave this album a few listens. This song is a damn good song and unfortunately is the only listenable song on the new album. I have since deleted the album from my laptop hard drive. Perhaps a future release from TRT will be improved.

Robbie Robertson & The Red Road Ensemble - Coyote Dance
(Dec 05, 2008 - 11:20)
I bought this CD when it was first released back in the mid-90s. I haven't listened to it in years and is collecting dust in my closet. Thanks to RP for playing this song.

While sitting here listening to RP, unemployed and wondering about my future somehow Beth Orton's voice and music soothes my soul.

The Cure - Burn
(Nov 27, 2008 - 12:26)
Can't get enough of Robert Smith's surreal lyrics.

(Aug 07, 2008 - 16:24)
I might have to pick this CD up after hearing this song.

Finley Quaye - Dice
(Aug 02, 2008 - 15:10)
This song is the reason why I love Radio Paradise. I can't believe this song is 15 years old and I've never heard it until now! Needless to say, I just added it to my Amazon.Com Wishlist.

Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes (live in Athens 1988)
(Feb 26, 2005 - 19:21)
The world would be a better place if everyone listened to Peter Gabriel.

(Mar 10, 2004 - 17:03)
one of the best album covers of all time.

(Feb 29, 2004 - 13:42)

(Feb 01, 2004 - 05:38)
Great music for a Sunday morning!
Peter Murphy - Cuts You Up
(Jan 31, 2004 - 06:03)

*added to my Amazon.Com wish list*
Beth Orton - Anywhere (Two Lone Swordsman Remix)
(Jan 30, 2004 - 15:01)

(Jan 29, 2004 - 06:19)
Great studio production!
R.E.M. - Me In Honey
(Jan 29, 2004 - 05:51)
Brilliant!
Tom Petty - Wildflowers
(Jan 29, 2004 - 05:43)
This album was released during the peak of grunge and doom rock. This was such a special album for me. Excellent music to counter the negativity that was so rampant in the mid-90s.
Allman Brothers - Dreams
(Jan 29, 2004 - 05:26)
Great tune but Molly Hatchet's version rocks!
Audioslave - Hypnotize
(Jan 28, 2004 - 13:37)
This is probably the best album of 2003.
Peter Gabriel - Blood Of Eden
(Jan 27, 2004 - 12:30)
Great song but I think I like the studio version better.
Daniel Lanois - I Love You
(Jan 24, 2004 - 07:01)
What a deep soul Daniel Lanois is!
Vince Guaraldi Trio - Linus and Lucy
(Jan 23, 2004 - 16:06)
I want this song played at my funeral.
Coldplay - Moses
(Jan 22, 2004 - 05:28)
Agreed, I hope Coldplay continues to release excellent music.
BoDeans - Good Things
(Jan 21, 2004 - 15:06)
Not a bad song but the local adult-contemporary station here in Indy has overplayed it over the years where I get to the point of turning the station whenever they play it. The BoDeans were a big hit with the frat-crowd in the early to mid-90s.
Seal - Human Beings
(Jan 21, 2004 - 14:56)
Seal has a true musical soul. It shows in his voice and melodies.
Ima Robot - Scream
(Jan 21, 2004 - 14:49)
First time I have heard this song....pretty cool....
Sonny Landreth - Soldier of Fortune
(Jan 21, 2004 - 06:19)
SL is one of the best slide guitarists around. I highly recommend his album "South of I-10".
The Police - Invisible Sun
(Jan 20, 2004 - 17:02)
Great song but Sting's lyrics are the best!
The Church - Destination
(Jan 20, 2004 - 16:55)
Not quite The Cure, not quite Echo and the Bunnymen...The Church have their own unique signature sound. Something you would never hear on ClearChannel radio stations. A great band that I was honored to have listened to in my college-years.
Moby - Porcelain
(Jan 20, 2004 - 05:57)
Moby has more talent in one of his keyboard fingers than most traditional musicians today.
David Bowie - Heroes (live acoustic)
(Jan 19, 2004 - 17:02)
DB is a genius...
Robbie Robertson - Broken Arrow
(Jan 19, 2004 - 16:53)

Melissa Etheridge - Silent Legacy
(Jan 17, 2004 - 04:19)
Have not heard anything new from ME for a long time. What is she up to?
The Cure - Close to Me (closer mix)
(Jan 16, 2004 - 19:25)
Robert Smith is a creative genius.
Grateful Dead - Help On The Way/Franklin's Tower
(Jan 16, 2004 - 18:01)
I miss Uncle Jerry.

catchy orchestra melody. first time i have ever heard this song....
Siouxsie & the Banshees - Kiss Them For Me
(Jan 14, 2004 - 17:42)
The first time I ever heard this song I was slightly drunk at a dance club. I never knew who did this song for the longest time. Very catchy melody and her voice is so interesting.
Kate Bush - The Big Sky
(Jan 14, 2004 - 16:17)
My ex was a big Kate Bush fan. Whenever I hear a KB song it brings back nice memories of her.
Peter Gabriel - Biko
(Jan 14, 2004 - 15:23)
Peter Gabriel for U.S. president in 2004. Just imagine how much better off the world would be.

(Jan 13, 2004 - 18:18)
Grammy material...

(Jan 13, 2004 - 17:42)
Good song but not the best from this CD.
The Ocean Blue - Between Something and Nothing
(Jan 13, 2004 - 17:39)
I remember when college radio used to play this song. This was at the peak of the big hair/glam rock scene. I bought the CD and this is the only song that is any good. It is still nice to hear it once in awhile.
