Ozric Tentacles - Aura Borealis
(Apr 20, 2004 - 21:39)
The Tentacles totally rock. Nice segues from Yes and into Peter Gabriel "Blood of Eden."
Norah Jones - In The Morning
(Apr 06, 2004 - 22:37)
I don't get her appeal at all. BORING. DERIVATIVE.
Harry Manx - Crazy Love
(Apr 06, 2004 - 22:26)
OK maybe I'm just imagining this.....but is Harry Manx this guy's real name? Cuz Manx is a breed of cat that is nearly hairless (as well as tail-less)......perhaps it's supposed to be some sort of cute joke?
Bob Holroyd - Games Without Frontiers
(Apr 06, 2004 - 22:01)

hmmm... when did barry manilow start doing this tune?

Norah Jones - Creepin' In
(Apr 06, 2004 - 21:00)
What would it take to make RP a Snorah-Free Zone? :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: Oh...and while we're at it, a Tori-Free Zone too.
Ekova - Siip Siie
(Mar 31, 2004 - 15:08)

God, Bush must have thought this band was from Iraq! Now I understand! I do feel threatened...

From Iraq or not, this song is clearly a Weapon of Mass Eardrum Desturction.

Björk - Big Time Sensuality
(Mar 31, 2004 - 15:00)
This is just plain awful.
Howard Jones - Life In One Day
(Mar 30, 2004 - 17:04)
How low does an average rating have to be for a song to get booted from the playlist? I hope this becomes a candidate for such a thing very soon. Makes me feel like I am back in the 80's.......not a good thing.
Porcupine Tree - Collapse The Light Into Earth
(Mar 30, 2004 - 16:58)
borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring
Porcupine Tree - Even Less
(Mar 30, 2004 - 13:28)
Why does this sound like Seal?
Tori Amos - I'm On Fire
(Mar 23, 2004 - 20:37)
My ears are on fire. Make the whiney singing stop!
Vienna Teng - Feather Moon
(Mar 22, 2004 - 18:03)
toastee wrote:

Vienna puts Tori high on her list of songwriters that influenced her. - just thought you'd like to know. ...dumbass.

Well, to Vienna's credit then, Tori's influence doesn't go all that deep.
Midnight Oil - Dreamworld
(Mar 21, 2004 - 22:32)
Midnight Oil rocks!
Ween - Tried & True
(Mar 21, 2004 - 21:32)

Because it has an incredible sound!! There are many songs on this station that are much more annoying - keep listening :D

LOL! Yes, there are many songs on this station more annoying than this one! But then again there are many that are enthralling. That's why we all tune in, n'est ce pas?

Norah Jones - The Long Way Home
(Mar 21, 2004 - 08:29)
I'm still waiting for a Norah Jones song that I can stand. This one is not it. I find her annoying and cloying and boring.
Vienna Teng - Feather Moon
(Mar 21, 2004 - 08:15)
OK now here is someone that Torn Anus should listen to and take a lesson from!
Tori Amos - Girl
(Mar 21, 2004 - 08:08)
What a surprise to hear something like this from Torn Anus........whiney vocals and tinkly piano...........blech! :puke:
Richard Thompson - Beeswing
(Mar 20, 2004 - 21:14)
What a lovely song. Thank you RT and RP!
Solas - Clothes Of Sand
(Mar 20, 2004 - 20:41)
OK this is the first time I have ever heard a cover of a Nick Drake song. At first I kind of liked it........but as it went on I found it distressing. Part of the almost ineffable beauty of Nick's work is its simplicity. In the naked light of just his voice and his guitar there is nowhere to hide. That's what makes the entire 'Pink Moon' album such a treasure. I don't think there's much to be gained by gussying up his tunes. I so much prefer the original version of this song (on 'Time of No Reply'). Sorry, Solas. But thanks for playing!
Tori Amos - Icicle
(Mar 20, 2004 - 17:36)
Has she nothing else to say, and no other way to say it? BORING!
Blur - Tender
(Mar 20, 2004 - 17:20)
This is just simply DRECK. :puke:
Norah Jones - One Flight Down
(Mar 18, 2004 - 16:52)
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Too overplayed to be 'eclectic'
Too formulaic to be 'intelligent'
Too dull to be 'rock'

Why is this stuff being played on RP?
Delerium - Consensual Worlds
(Mar 17, 2004 - 14:28)
This is making me Delirious. :puke:
Nick Drake - Three Hours
(Mar 16, 2004 - 23:03)
It's not possible to pick a favorite Nick Drake song....they are all exquisite. I also recommend that anyone who is interested check out the documentary on Nick's life called "A Skin Too Few," (see http://www.nickdrakefilm.com) if you can find it, but be prepared to shed some tears. ">(click here)
Focus - Focus III
(Mar 16, 2004 - 21:25)
Sorry, this sounds like Bar Mitzvah muzak.
Remy Zero - Hermes Bird
(Mar 16, 2004 - 20:22)
There couldn't be a more appropriate song to rate a big fat ZERO. We need to extend the scale downward on beyond 1.
Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism
(Mar 16, 2004 - 19:56)
:puke:
Steely Dan - Aja
(Mar 16, 2004 - 16:23)
Good cut from the last of the great Steely Dan albums.
Depeche Mode - Freestate
(Mar 16, 2004 - 14:34)
OK, so Depeche Mode have proved that they can pass themselves off as Pink Floyd. The point of all this being what, exactly? :?:
Sparklehorse - Shade & Honey
(Mar 16, 2004 - 14:32)
ZZZZZZZZZZZZ! :puke:
Tori Amos - Gold Dust
(Mar 16, 2004 - 14:27)
WOW! A Torn Anus song that only kinda sucks! :P
Pete Yorn - Turn of the Century
(Mar 15, 2004 - 05:37)
OK so this guy serves to prove that the women (Amos, Morisette, DiFranco, etc.) have not cornered the market on annoying, whiney vocalizing.
Cranberries - Dreams
(Mar 15, 2004 - 05:32)
What are cranberries frequently served with? Turkey. 'Nuff said.
Ani Difranco - Little Plastic Castle
(Mar 14, 2004 - 22:05)
Yet another whiny female singer........she ranks right down there with Torn Anus, AlanASS Morisette and now Snorah Jonezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
David Bowie - Fall Dog Bombs The Moon
(Mar 14, 2004 - 21:02)
I gave this a 3 (Ho-Hum) and that's being a bit generous, I think. This cut is being overplayed on RP. Were it by anyone but Bowie, we would never hear it, here or elsewhere.
The Postal Service - We Will Become Silhouettes
(Mar 14, 2004 - 20:23)
This is the strongest argument I have heard yet why Radio Shack should never have been allowed to sell synthesizers. This rates a 10/10 on the Dreck Meter.
Enya - Storms in Africa
(Mar 14, 2004 - 14:44)
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
The Who - Amazing Journey/Sparks
(Mar 14, 2004 - 14:04)
It's on a song like this that I am glad I can turn the volume up to 11!
Van Morrison - Into The Mystic
(Mar 14, 2004 - 13:47)
Now THIS is what good music and a talented musician is all about. Authenticity. Being himself. Puts the lie to all the dreck that is being marketed as music these days.
Tori Amos - Cruel
(Mar 14, 2004 - 13:23)
Please, no more Torn Anus. I can't stand this whiney shrieking......worse than nails on a blackboard. Truly.
Howie Day - Perfect Time Of Day
(Mar 14, 2004 - 13:16)
Um............if I want to hear something that sounds like U2, I'll listen to U2, thanks.
Barenaked Ladies - Be My Yoko Ono
(Mar 14, 2004 - 10:20)
This would be bad enough were it just inconsequential fluff......however it has the additional unredeeming quality of being annoying.
Moby - Look Back In
(Mar 14, 2004 - 10:06)
B O R I N G !
To paraphrase Chandler Bing: "Could this BE more boring?"
Norah Jones - Turn Me On
(Mar 14, 2004 - 09:50)
NO SNORAH JONES ON RP! She is awful.
Chemical Brothers - The Golden Path (w/ Flaming Lips)
(Mar 13, 2004 - 22:23)
Please forgive me.......I never meant to make your ears bleed by programming this song.
Grandaddy - The Crystal Lake
(Mar 13, 2004 - 22:18)
This is not very good. In fact, it's downright bad. BORING.
Tori Amos - 1000 Oceans
(Mar 13, 2004 - 22:02)
OK so you program this after Peter Gabriel to make us think it's Kate Bush? But no.........it's that whiny Tori......
Peter Gabriel - Mercy Street
(Mar 13, 2004 - 21:58)
It is songs like this that confirms what Genesis lost when Peter struck out on his own, much to our reward.
Cassandra Wilson - Fragile
(Mar 13, 2004 - 21:22)
Want a preview of what SNORAH Jones will sound like in 30 years? Listen to this and you've got it. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
Garmarna - Euchari
(Mar 13, 2004 - 21:04)
Sounds like Hildegard von Bingen-gone-Scando-techno.
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
(Mar 13, 2004 - 21:01)
OK can we all get something straight? This song (and anything by this so-called 'artist') is awful. PLEASE......no SNORAH Jones on RP......I like almost everything else you play but this woman is amazingly talent-free and soporific. Maybe RP should just refuse to play any Grammy-winning artist to stand by its eclectic nature? Anything so I don't have to listen to this dreck. I don't like all music, and I can understand how some people can enjoy things that I find dreadful......but THIS stuff? PUH-LEEZ!
Marillion - Cannibal Surf Babe
(Mar 13, 2004 - 20:55)
Wow.....this song is pretty good. I've heard of Marillion but have not HEARD much Marillion. I thought they were more of a prog rock outfit but this sounds more like pop space music.
