Story: When I lived in Salem, I got a refinance, with cash back. Part of the money went to getting new flooring, and I opted for milk-white from laundry room to kitchen. I had a ballet-bar mounted on the wall facing the patio doors, and a big mirror above it. Once the floor was in, and there was still no furniture in that vast expanse of white, I plugged in my little CD player, and this cassette was in it. I did my stretches to "Cuts You Up" - in the dark, with candles and incense. It was magical... This song will forever remind me of that time. The image you have painted is incredible! Thank you!

Depeche Mode - Never Let Me Down Again (Nov 29, 2009 - 09:32) | Loved the CD when it came out. The wildest most surreal experience I had was with this CD. I was driving into Dallas to see my girlfriend, it was late at night and a huge storm was blowing in, there is a point on the drive where I could "look down" on the city and as I was reaching this point the storm hit. I watched the city just disappear in front of me and just get very VERY dark. It was just SO wild seeing this and thinking something just removed the entire city of Dallas from the planet with this song playing

What many women (and even a few men who have gotten in touch with their feminine side) don't understand is that most household work is entirely superfluous. Clothes can be worn for months without washing; food can be eaten out of the pot with one's fingers; dust on the floor isn't bad, if one gets used to it; the only parts of a car that need to be washed are the windows; uncut lawns are the lungs of the suburbs; kids can be trained to take care of themselves...

It's a very selfish thing to just turn your back on everything instead of trying to make a difference. What a waste of a life.
While you make a good point, some people have to change internally first. If the passage is successful, then they can move to bigger things.

For some reason I really cannot get into this group and to be honest I don't know why. From a historical view, I should love this group and the David Matthews Band, but both leave me cold and thinking "that was nice, sort of..."
Is anybody else noting this? Dont that this as a slam against Coldplay. I enjoy the songs when played but have no desire to own anything of their music, even if given for free.

There's no doubt that the 70s had some good drugs and sex parties--that doesn't mean you should inflict the soundtrack of that era on anyone else.
