Yello - Call It Love
(Jun 11, 2012 - 08:14)
Wonderful, wonderful Yello. It is surprising that they are Swiss, who could tell!

Herbie Hancock - Cantaloupe Island
(Feb 27, 2011 - 04:37)
What a hedonistically wonderful mix.

Buffalo Springfield - Broken Arrow
(Feb 27, 2011 - 04:32)
Gaak. My wife loves them. Whereas.........

Carolina Chocolate Drops - Snowden's Jig
(Feb 27, 2011 - 04:18)
This one awoke me from my Sunday morning fug. Absolutely, splendid, don't you know!

Joni Mitchell - Love or Money
(Jul 18, 2008 - 03:47)
Is there anything lower than sucko- barfo. Was the applause at the end due to fact that she stopped singing?
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
(Aug 30, 2007 - 00:55)
I am English, but the phrase 'gag me with a spoon seems appropriate'. Aaaaagh, yuk.
Devo - Freedom of Choice
(Jul 06, 2006 - 23:12)
Ahh, Devo. I had given up hope of hearing them again. Great music to keep you going through the day, night or whatever. Bill, I need more .....
Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road
(Jun 20, 2006 - 09:40)

Well I suppose that you do have a point. But I still do not understand why he is soooo popular!
The Beatles - Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
(Jun 08, 2006 - 00:43)
I am going to get killed. I know it is meant to be a classic, but .......

For me it has not made the transition to a classic state, it sounds dated and only seems to appeal to people still looking back at time when they were stoned. I grew up with the Beatles and despite a few good pieces I always thought they sucked. Sorry folks, but I guess I was not stoned enough when I was younger.

Tom Waits - Alice
(Jun 01, 2006 - 03:03)
Not perhaps his best, but the lyrics are good and very atmospheric. More Tom is needed........
Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane - Epistrophy
(Jun 01, 2006 - 03:01)
At last something to get your teeth into... Good choice.
Yello - Desire
(May 31, 2006 - 03:38)
Considering that they come from a yodelling country, they have made a positive contribution to the 80’s and 90’s electronic scene. Need to hear more Yello from Bill.
Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road
(May 31, 2006 - 01:04)
This is the epitome of mediocre rock. Ahhh…. No more please, it offends my ears.
R.L. Burnside - Old Black Mattie
(May 30, 2006 - 02:32)
Cool blues. Shame that he is gone.
Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime
(May 29, 2006 - 02:15)
I know that it is not quite summer yet, but a warm, hot and sunny day is made complete whenever I hear this song.
Radiohead - There There
(May 28, 2006 - 01:41)
Ahh, this one is mooost cool. No matter what time of day or state of mind: it works
Peter Gabriel - Biko
(May 22, 2006 - 09:38)

And isn't this more an example of group behavior not working since these few people didn't follow the overwhelming trend of rating Biko as an 8-10? I just wish two of the three "naysayers" had contributed to the discussion by offering a reason for their dislike of this song.

Well, in for a penny... The lyrics are good, but I find the melody does not keep me listening. I feel that I have to like it because of the message, but heavens, I find it annoying. Maybe it is a PG thing that I have. He just does not cut-it for me.
Peter Gabriel - Biko
(May 22, 2006 - 09:12)
I think I need something lower than the sucko-barfo rating for this one!
Morphine - Radar
(May 21, 2006 - 08:45)
Do not listen to the negative comments about Morphine. Their style and musical talent is appreciated among the cognoscenti.
Squirrel Nut Zippers - Blue Angel
(May 21, 2006 - 07:51)
Ahh, what cool piece. Ohh, to be a squirrel!
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Riviera Paradise
(May 08, 2006 - 07:41)
Ahh, sublime.......

Just what I need to chill out after working on a difficult report.

Chet Baker - Tangerine
(Apr 21, 2006 - 02:22)
Cool music. I am sorry if people do not like it, but then I am getting to be a boring old fart!
